About the Presenter: Per
Andersen
Born and schooled in Aalborg, Per’s initial professional training was as an
engineer. Being an engineer and having to make precision parts with great
accuracy is a good start for an Acupuncturist. Part of that job is working and
analysing systems, and making sure they all work as a properly functioning
whole. When you mix this combination of training with that of an acupuncturist
you get an analytical and caring practitioner. This is Per!
Now in clinical practice for ten years and having treated over 250 clients
with the subjects in this DVD, it enables Per to speak with some confidence. He
places great importance on point location and explains his rationale and
treatment protocols clearly. The points and combinations are quite simple and
will surprise you.
Per says, "I
have been working with all kind of disease in my clinic. I was often wondering
why my results varied from time to time. I was sure that my diagnosis was
alright, but the results were not always as I would like them to be. I
discovered a technique that told how to do the treatments better. I figured how
to find the right points and location for each treatment. With this technique

Treatment
for Reducing Allergic Reaction and Increasing Resistance to Mosquito Bites - Certainly an unusual topic
for Denmark, but mosquitos
are there just like in Australia. Per uses a very simple one point for this
treatment. He informed me that for his clients its effectiveness lasted about a
year.
He
has been on the front page of a major Danish newspaper because of his results
in treating this problem. Certainly a
useful tool to have in your toolbox.
What intrigued me are his reports that those people who are “sweet and
attractive” to mosquitos seem to become less attractive to them after a single
treatment too. This treatment is not a
panacea, but this section of the DVD could have an Australian application in
the tropics and elsewhere.
Auricular Acupuncture - In
this 20 minute section of the DVD, Per describes and demonstrates some basics of
finding active points in the ear. His novel way of locating points is to use a
simple (and inexpensive) multi-meter. He also demonstrates the use of gold press
needles, applied to the reactive points, these golden treatment needles are so
simple and easy to use. It could make ear
acupuncture using Per's technique a useful adjunct to your
practice.
