Ikeda sensei has been practising traditional style acupuncture and herbalism in private practice for 33 years. He has trained and studied with some of the most renowned clinicians and Classical scholars in Japan. Ikeda sensei has been lecturing on Oriental medicine and teaching his highly refined acupuncture and moxibustion skills since he was 23 years old. He still maintains a busy lecturing schedule throughout Japan, as well as tours to Hawaii with Shudo Denmei sensei and Boston U.S. on behalf of the Japanese Meridian Therapy Association. This was his fourth visit to Australia.
He is the author of 15 textbooks on Traditional Oriental Medicine, includingthe practices of Acupuncture, moxibustion, herbalism and studies of theClassics as well as over 200 journal articles.He is currently engaged in writing yet another book as well conducting a busy clinic at Imabari on the island of Shikoku in Southern Japan. He is the highest selling author of Oriental Medical books in Japan today.
